Welcome to the Phi Tau Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society of the two year college.

Invitation into Phi Tau Chapter is based on your scholastic achievement.  In addition to scholarship requirements, our chapter fosters many opportunities for leadership, service, and fellowship.  Our Honors Topic through 2004-05 is "Popular Culture: Shaping and Reflecting Who We Are," and you will see that most of our events and activities support this issue of popular culture.

Our International Service Project is the American Cancer Society, which we support through our fundraisers for the Northeast Tarrant County "Relay for Life."  In May 2005, Phi Tau sponsored four "Relay" teams and raised over $8,000 for cancer research.

To be eligible for membership a TCC student must have a 3.5 GPA on their last 12 hours at TCC, and a 3.0 GPA overall.

Our Mission:
1. recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and

2. provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.
